Our Gang presented this classic musical to enthusiastic audiences in early April! Thank you to all our supporters, cast, crew, and staff for helping us produce this dramatic testimony to the power of love! Directed by Jessica O'Brien-Roy. Opening night Friday, April 5; also performed on April 6 and 7.
OGP looks forward to returning to the Surflight again next winter! Remember to also support their 2013 season; details and show schedules can be found at www.surflight.org.
Our Gang is grateful to the Surflight Theatre for welcoming us this winter! So far, our busy winter season has thrived at the Surflight as we both do our part to "restore the shore" on LBI!
In February, we performed the classic comedy, Arsenic and Old Lace, and in March we performed the modern romantic musical The Last Five Years. Our audience, casts, and crew have enjoyed the experience a great deal! And the Surflight staff has been gracious and accomodating.
Long Beach Island is returning from its long, hard, winter and a warmer season is springing up at the Surflight -- up next for us is the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, Carousel. Don't miss your chance to experience this Our Gang production in the wonderful Surflight setting!
Thanks to all who came out to see a terrific cabaret-style show at the STAC in late January -- especially those who braved the snow/ice-storm on Friday night! You helped Our Gang raise $2500 to help our operating expenses as we gear up for a very busy season.
Special thanks to the wonderful cast, our team of volunteers, and to Jessica O'Brien who directed and arranged a great show!
Harold Hill, Marian Paroo, The Pick-a-Little Ladies, Mayor Shinn, and the entire cast all really enjoyed entertaining our audiences for three great nights in January 2013! What a memorable experience for all. Thanks to all of you for your support!
In addition to a great production, Our Gang will donate $1 from each ticket sale to local Breast Cancer Awareness efforts -- $2,000 total! Hope you didn't miss this one, it was really terrific (if we do say so ourselves).
The New Jersey Association of Community Theaters has recognized Our Gang Players as their 2012 Community Theater of the Year! The annual award recognizes and celebrates a New Jersey theater organization that has made a significant contribution to their community.
"We are honored and ecstatic to be this year's recipient," said our proud Momma, Sherry Schnepp, Our Gang's co-founder and Artistic Director. Miss Sherry was in attendance at the annual Perry Awards Ceremony on September 9, 2012, to accept the honor.
Read about Our Gang's accomplishment in The Sandpaper article from Sep. 19th. Congratulations to Miss Sherry and to the entire Our Gang family!
Thank you to all our wonderful patrons for joining our audience(s) in our version of this classic musical comedy! Hope you didn't miss it :)
Special thanks to our dedicated cast, crew, and volunteers who make everything possible -- performing, choreography, costumes, sets and set changes, production and special effects, 50/50s, concessions, our special red carpet opening night -- we are blessed to have your support!
Over the years we have been so lucky to receive support from the business community AND members of our group. If it is more convenient than paying by traditional methods, please consider making a donation to Our Gang online. You will be helping us to survive another day and another season! Thank you in advance for your consideration.
