Gypsy is the ultimate story of an aggressive stage mother. Join Rose, June, and Louise in their trip across the United States during the 1920's, when vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born. Our Gang Players presents four performances at Barnegat High School's Bengal Theater:
May 1 (Fri) and 2 (Sat) @ 7:00 pm
May 3 (Sun) @ 2pm, and
May 4 (Mon) @ 6:30 pm
Director: Jessica O'Brien
Bengal Theater is located at 180 Bengal Boulevard (off of Barnegat Blvd.) in Barnegat, NJ 08005. There's three ways to get your tickets:
We're so grateful to our supportive audiences and families who made this wonderful production a success for all involved. And an extra "thank you" goes out to the large crowd who braved the opening night snowstorm surprise, too! What a truly CUTE show! You knew the story -- but we can probably all agree that you'd never seen it as adorable as this :)
We are proud to have so many terrific families, children, volunteers, and supporters who all help make OGP a special place to perform and enjoy the theater!
The impending suspension of artistic services to our community at the SURFLIGHT THEATER is dangerously close to fruition. We are about to loose a 65 year old friend- who has entertained and delighted thousands upon thousands of resident and visitors alike!! The theater has also given a good start to so many young thespians not only from our area but from all over the country. If we do not stand up and defend this service to our community we have lost again...... On LBI we have already lost every movie theater, and live theater is sparse!
I recently sent a Letter to the Editor at the Sandpaper in regard to what loosing Surflight Theater as a performance venue would mean to this community and the people who live here but unfortunately my letter was not printed in full because I suggested that residents contact their Congressman - Senator- Governor and listed their numbers. So I will try again to say to you, the taxpayers and residents of Southern Ocean County rise up and speak if you believe that losing this grand old theater is worth saving..... we need a hero or heroine or many voices to speak out on her behalf to our local, state and federal officials that the action of losing this historic summer theater is not in the best interest of this community. No matter who, what or why the Surflight Theater is in peril is irrelevant- we have the power to be the heroes.....please speak up and keep the footlights burning!!

Four shows across two January weekends helped the Our Gang Players family kick off the new year! Footloose is musical version of the hit 1984 film, highlighting rebellious teenager Ren McCormack as he moves to a small middle-American town where dance is forbidden - and encourages his classmates to defy the local pastor and call for a rock'n'roll prom.
"Thank you" to our enthusiastic audiences, to director Nick Durst, and to the entire Footloose cast and crew!
Our Gang had the pleasure of staging a production of one of the world's best loved musicals! This Rodgers & Hammerstein classic features songs such as "Edelweiss," "My Favorite Things," "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," "Do-Re-Mi," and of course the title song -- audiences loved The Sound of Music!
"We saw the Sound of Music this weekend and it was amazing!" -- P.M.
"Great job to cast and crew of the Show. Was very happy to see it last night and help out!!" -- J.B.

"AMAZING SHOW... AMAZING CAST! Congrats to all!" -- Roberta D
Our Gang's Teen Division presented three performances of the hit musical based on the Disney Channel original movie! It was fun for the whole family -- and we are so proud of our cast and crew (and grateful to our supportive audiences filling almost every seat)!
