A Letter from the Artistic Director

Hello and thank you all for your wonderful support during Our Gang's 34th season!

Our shows and performances were terrific this past year -- a big "thank you" and congratulations to the talented directors, casts, crews, and musicians of Babes in Toyland, Hello Dolly!, Bye, Bye Birdie, and Oliver! The quality and entertainment value of our productions were truly outstanding and our audiences were wonderful and enthusiastic.

Our next season is the thirty-fifth -- the THIRTY-FIFTH! -- year of Our Gang Players bringing great community theater to the people and families of Ocean County. We are honored and thrilled to be serving you again and providing opportunities for all to get involved.

Last year we forged ahead with a well-organized plan to raise funds and get our financial situation under control, all while presenting the same level of outstanding entertainment as you have come to expect from Our Gang Players. We had a very successful year as we stayed as efficient and cost-effective as possible, while capitalizing on all our resources -- dedicated volunteers, talented directors and actors, increased ticket sales, new business sponsorships, positive fundraising, and passionate audiences -- all while we prepared for each show's opening night. We are so very grateful to the whole Our Gang Players family, and we hope we can improve in all areas again in Season 35!

This year our ticket prices will remain among the lowest in community theater:
$15/adult * $12/seniors & students * $8/children 12 & under
...and we will remain among the only community theaters to accept anyone who wants to participate and be part of the team that helps bring our high-quality performances to the stage.

Our biggest concern as we enter Season 35 is the transition that is occurring at our "home" stage, the beautiful OceanFirst Theater at the Stafford Township Arts Center (STAC). As of this writing (October 2011) we still have no confirmation that Our Gang Players, Inc. will be able to perform at the place that has become our regular venue. We continue to hope that the new management from the Stafford Township Board of Education will be able to work out their procedures and allow us the opportunity to return -- ASAP!

In the meantime, we will move ahead with planning our Season 35 shows, and maybe even add in a surprise or two -- stay tuned!

Of course, we will need your volunteer time & talent as much as ever before – so please be ready for us to call on you! Keep an eye on our Facebook page, our website, and our monthly emails. We will do our best to keep you informed and make you proud to support Our Gang Players.
